Privacy Policy

Effective April 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what Vapor95 Inc. collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Zania mobile app and the getzania.com website.

A. Information You Provide

  • Account: email and/or phone number, password (hashed), display name, username, profile photo, bio.
  • Profile preferences: interests, home-base address and coordinates.
  • Event content: title, description, category, images, address, coordinates, date/time, price, event/ticket URLs, optional contact phone/email.
  • Social graph: friend requests, friendships, blocks.
  • Messages sent to other users (stored so both parties can read them).
  • Ratings and photos attached to events.
  • Favorites, RSVPs, and reminders you set.
  • Reports you submit about content or users.

B. Collected Automatically

  • Location — accessed only while the app is in use, to show events near you. We do not collect background location.
  • Push notification tokens — stored so we can deliver event reminders you opt into.
  • Crash logs — when the app errors we record the error message, stack trace, screen path, platform, and technical metadata tied to your account so we can troubleshoot.
  • Session and security data — IP address and auth session tokens handled by Supabase for sign-in, rate limiting, and abuse prevention.

C. Contacts (On-Device Only)

If you choose to find friends during onboarding, we read the phone numbers in your device contacts and compare them to Zania users already on the platform. This matching happens on your device. We do not upload, store, or share your contacts or contact phone numbers. You can skip this step.

D. Third-Party Event Data

Events displayed on Zania may be imported from Ticketmaster, SeatGeek, PredictHQ, and Eventbrite. This data is public information about events, not about you.

E. How We Use Information

  • Operate the App and display events near you.
  • Show your public profile and events to other users.
  • Enable messaging, friend requests, and reporting/moderation.
  • Send transactional push notifications you opt into.
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, spam, abuse, and security issues.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

F. What We Don't Do

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising.
  • We do not use third-party advertising or behavioral-profiling SDKs.
  • We do not track your location when the app is closed.

G. Who We Share Data With

Your public profile, events, ratings, and community photos are visible to other Zania users. We share data with service providers only as needed to operate the App: Supabase (database, authentication, storage); Apple (Maps, Push Notifications, App Store). We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

H. SMS Messaging

If you sign in or sign up using a phone number, you are explicitly opting in to receive SMS messages from Zania at that number. Message types include: (1) one-time verification codes at sign-up and sign-in, (2) event reminders for events you RSVP to, (3) invites and announcements from event hosts you follow or have RSVP'd to, (4) account and security messages such as password reset codes, and (5) standard HELP/STOP responses required by mobile carriers. Message frequency varies by your activity in the app. Message and data rates may apply.

Phone numbers collected for SMS opt-in are not shared with or sold to third parties for marketing purposes. SMS opt-in data is used solely to send the message types described above.

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any Zania SMS message; reply HELP for support contact information. Full details, message-type examples, and a screenshot of the in-app opt-in screen are published at getzania.com/sms-consent.

I. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, posted events, friendships, messages, favorites, ratings, photos, reminders, push tokens, and crash logs within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records for legal, security, or abuse-prevention purposes.

J. Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time from inside the Zania app: Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Confirming will erase your profile and personal data within 30 days. You may also email support@getzania.com to request deletion.

K. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain uses. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA. Residents of the EU, UK, and similar jurisdictions have rights under the GDPR. To exercise any of these rights, email support@getzania.com. We will respond within 30 days.

L. Children

Zania is intended for users aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 17. If you believe a minor has provided us with data, contact support@getzania.com and we will delete it.

M. Security

We use industry-standard measures including TLS encryption in transit, row-level security on our database, and authentication best practices. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

N. International Users

Zania is operated from the United States. If you access the App from another country, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the United States.

O. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. The “Effective” date at the top reflects the latest revision.
